Résumé:
Studies on the spatial and temporal distribution in communities of amphibians are important because they give us a direction to set conservation strategies. This paper aims to describe the spatial-temporal distribution of populations of frogs in permanent and temporary ponds in an area of caatinga, located in the municipality of Cuité, Curimataú region of Paraiba. The study was conducted from July 2009 to June 2010. We found 17 species of frogs belonging to 10 genera of 5 different families: Hylidae (8), Leptodactylidae (4); Bufonidae (2); Leiuperidae (2) and Pipidae (1). The community has not studied temporal distribution influenced by precipitation, though the wealth of adults in monthly state vocalization correlates with the monthly precipitation in water bodies.
