Résumé:
This dissertation presents the characterization of a sensor that permit the measurement
and control of the absorbed water and temperature in the soils. This sensor coupled
with adequate functional blocks can be capable of monitoring and controlling the soil
moisture and the available water. Such a system should be very useful for management
of irrigation systems which besides rationalizing the water consumption, improves the
crop productivity, reduces operating coasts and energy consumption. This is important
for arid and semi-arid regions where water is the most valuable and scarce resource in
the agricultural practice.
The proposed sensor involves low cost and is fabricated with plaster of Paris and
thus facilitates its utilization in projects with relatively low budget.
