Résumé:
This study has a purpose to analyzing the genre relations in the press in the town of
Cajazeiras on the XX century, through Flor de Liz magazine. It was an illustrated
periodical monthly circulation, published of 1926 to 1937, it was written by women from
the Social Catholic Women Association (SCWA). To achievement this work we choose
the periodical corresponding to 1920s, all of them scanned. In an epoch of changes and
modernizations to Brazilian cities, countless were themes of the Flor de Liz magazine.
The Flor de liz magazine, always shows discussions about religion (by pretence SCWA),
education, fashion, instruction, domestic information, among others themes that were
present when the theme it was the women. The magazine had the woman how the main
character, defending the necessity of formation and instruction. Along its editions, we can
realize tactics and strategies made by these women when she used the press space to
express her opinion, in an epoch of pride and questions around the social place took up
by the woman.
