Résumé:
This study investigated about the perception of the hearing impaired, of the city of
Pombal/PB on the educational politics of inclusion and about the main difficulties
faced by deaf people in the educational process. It also searched to have a biblio-
graphical survey about the historic process of those politic to check the board of evo-
lution in attendance, reception and socialization of person with hearing impairment. In
addition to those factors, it is important to point out the role of interpreter too, of the
teacher and of the importance of the Brazilian Sign Language – Libras for the teach-
ing-learning process of the deaf. It was noted that these population experiences the
exclusion in the school context and schools of regular education are not prepared to
receive students with special educational need, due to the lack of their professionals
preparation, of inappropriate methodology and of excessive charging of the Portu-
guese language with regard to Libras, excluding of their works the bilingualism pro-
posal.
