Resumo:
This work aims to awaken the interest of teachers and students from elementary
schools, so as researchers on the pamphlet literature, a cultural expression that
addresses issues related to everyday folk, mostly in the Northeast, where this cultural
manifestation gained prominence over the years, but also portrays the culture of
Brazil in verse. Events that marked our history, represented by popular artists in an
accessible way that provides the reader, whether researcher, student or just
interested in acquiring knowledge, a new possibility to understand the real vision of
the common people. Cordel brings the universe of students a new way to see the
history, moving away somewhat from the textbook in order to ensure a more effective
and enjoyable learning through knowledge construction based on customs and
experiences of their day to -day. It also arouses interest in reading and develops
critical thinking of students. The student is able to produce knowledge from the
construction of twine, focused on social issues that marked an era or even subjects
like social life in the community, becoming a builder of history and not a mere
reproducer of knowledge already taken as absolute truths. This literature is seen as a
learning content and of utmost importance to all disciplines and can be used in
multiple instances of teaching, in order to ensure the learning and development of
critical and expand student knowledge, aiming at interdisciplinarity.
