Resumen:
The area of science which was included the Engineering Materials have been developed in conjunction with other areas, important advances in the field of biomateriais. These biomateriais are substances or mixtures of natural or artificial in nature, which acts in biological systems such as tissues and organs. This research was performed the degradation of chitosan in physiological medium at different temperatures, subjecting to the action of the enzyme lysozyme. The objective was to evaluate the effect of temperature on the biodegradation of chitosan membranes with different molecular orientation. The membranes produced at concentrations of 1%
and 2% (w / v), with and without preferred orientation, were shown to be sensitive to the action of lysozyme, in periods of 30 and 45 days, regardless of temperatures.
