Resumen:
The use of mathematical models is essential to solve problems related to
transient overvoltages caused by switching operations in coupling capacitor voltage
transformers (CCVT). This work presents a methodology based on a vector fitting method
used to obtain the CCVT frequency response from laboratory measurement data. The
magnitude and phase of the transfer function are the required input data to the fitting
routine. Measurements of iron core characteristics are carried out to include nonlinearities
in the model. I n this work, an optimization method to estimate CCVT stray capacitances, is
also presented. The model may be used in connection with the EMTP (Electromagnetic
Transients Program).
