Résumé:
The vegetation or greenhouses in general have high cost for most small vegetable
growers. With a view to the production of low-cost constructed environments to
promote environmental conditions suitable for the typical users of these buildings, the
present study aimed to develop a model of rustic greenhouse at low cost for the
production of vegetables, and measure the environmental conditions, the development
of culture of lettuce and the cost-benefit of the building. The obtained results
demonstrated that for the environmental conditions of air temperature and relative
humidity there was no significant difference in or out of the building, there is, however,
only the reduction of wind speed inside the greenhouse. For plants grown in the
greenhouse the biometric results number of leaves, plant height, plant diameter, green
mass and dry mass were greater than those cultivated plants in natural environment.
With respect to the root size there was no significant difference between the cultivated
plants in both environments. To assess the cost-benefit of building a simple economic
analysis was carried out through a simulation made of estimated costs for the
construction of the building and the productivity of crops of lettuce, tomato and
strawberry in greenhouse. The results showed the economic viability of the rustic
vegetable greenhouse of greater value in the market.
