The use of didactic models in science classes point out ways for teachers work with didactic- pedagogical activities linking theory to practice, inviting the student to learn in a way that he/she can make, manipulate models, develop his/her skills, using materials easily accessible, finding different ways to administer certain content and promoting an effective learning. This study aimed to know Biological Science teachers’ conceptions of Cuité borough about didactic models. The participants of this study were 14 (fourteen) teachers of Science and Biology subjects of Elementary, Secondary and High School in public and private schools of Cuité-PB borough. We applied a questionnaire about teachers’ conceptions related to didactic models. Data were transcribed and categorized according to the content analyses proposed by Bardin (1977) and then we calculated frequencies and percentages of answers. In a general way, we verified that teachers know the didactic models, consider that they constitute important strategies that facilitate the teaching-learning process and motivate significantly classes. The results were discussed based on the literature and in empirical studies relevant.
