Resumen:
Education is an ongo process that involves the constant search for methods wich allow the construction of knowledge. Based on this assumption this studied evaluated the Potential Method Paulo Freire at al School in the Municipality of Jaçanã, RN having as main objective to verify the knowledge of the faculty about the Pedagogical Conceptions emphasizing the Paulo Freire Method to relate the teaching methodologies the method used by teachers. The data analysis for this study were obtained from observations performed between stage I and II and a questionnaire to teachers. With these observations and the reports presented in the questionnaire perceive that they possess knowledge regarding Pedagogical Concepts and methodologies are used to demonstrate the application of the Method Freirean making the teaching-learning process more dynamic and pleasurable, arousing pleasure in students by learn. Thus we find that the method has its potential in the institution and this is only possible thanks to the use of methodologies that take into account the student's prior knowledge, which makes all the difference when associated with the content being work on school practice.
