Resumo:
The safe and economic project of the storage structures is function of the loads and of
the strenght of these structures. Among the loads considered the most important is
caused by the pressure of the products stored in the wall. This work is divided in two
parts, theoretical and experimental, in a cylindrical silo, with plane botton and shipment
and eccentric discharge. The methodology and the techniques applied for the calculation
of the theoretical pressures by the international codes DIN 1055, ACI 313-77 and ISO
11697. The product used went sand, for its high density. It was determined the
following properties of the sand: the humidity text, granulometria; and also the flow
properties: as angle of internal friction, angle of friction of the product with the wall.
For obtaining of the experimental pressures the system of acquisition of data was used
connected the six pressure cells, being four fastened in the wall and two in the botton of
the silo. The theoretical pressures were analyzed and compared.. The experimental
pressures were studied and compared by means of the employment of theoretical
models.
