Abstract:
Adolescence is considered to be a transition phase of life child to adulthood, so it is marked by great changes biological, emotional, psychological and social. The phenomenon of teenage pregnancy is seen by many as a problem both in the context of health care, as in the social sphere. However, it is worth pointing out that the teenage pregnancy should not be seen only as something evil. In this sense, this study aimed to analyze the knowledge of pregnant adolescents about the reproductive planning. This is a descriptive research with qualitative approach, in which was used to the content analysis technique of Bardin. The research was conducted with 07 pregnant adolescents of blue team of Family Health Unit (USF) Raimundo Carneiro located in neighborhood Pedregal in the city of Campina Grande - PB, after approval by the Ethics Committee. Data collection was carried out in the months of March and April 2012. The interviews were conducted with the recording of speeches of adolescents with the use of electronic tool to collect the testimonials through a semi-structured interview, with guiding questions. The data analysis followed the criteria of interpretation thematic, founded in the light of the theoretical framework, as well as our objectives. In this way, it was possible to withdraw the problem investigated, from two main axs: Characterization of the study participants how many social aspects, economic, cultural and gynecology, and the analytical categories that have split into two empirical categories - Caring for the garden: knowing the contraceptive methods; the budding of flowers: The teenage pregnancy. The results indicate that a high rate of school dropout on the part of adolescents, which is pointed out by many authors as a great risk factor for teen pregnancy. As for the knowledge of contraceptive methods, the great majority has shown weaknesses in their responses, predominant the knowledge and use of oral contraceptives and condoms. With respect to access to these methods all have said get in the USF, but this is not always followed by guidance or even consultation. The importance to the use of the methods has been credited to the majority of young people to avoid an unwanted pregnancy, already the prevention the IST's (Sexually Transmitted Infections) it was forgotten or seldom mentioned. In reference to the knowledge that they were planning on breeding, all had expression of doubt to be questioned about this theme and have said they have never heard about the same. When we ask for pregnant adolescents which factors influence/facilitate the occurrence of pregnancy during adolescence, the responses were quite diverse, and the majority, according to the positioning of wanting the pregnancy. Throughout the research we noticed that the feelings of adolescents interviewed about the discovery of pregnancy are diversified, which shows the complexity of this phenomenon and the uniqueness of what this represents in the life of each one. However, for many adolescents adolescent pregnancy presents themselves as a viable project and valued, in a context in which there are not many alternatives for implementation of other projects to life.
