Abstract:
In chemistry teaching, many teachers still hold a very conservative view of teaching activity, clinging to methods routine and standardized, ignoring in fact, the practice of innovative teaching methodologies through the use of active didactic resources. In this sense, the work has as main objective, to verify the functionality of a didactic sequence as a methodological resource for the teaching of Modern Periodic Table as well how to assist them in the learning process of Periodic Table. The present work performed at the State School of Secondary Education José Nilson Santiago, located in the city of Poço Dantas – PB, in the state of Paraiba, the didactic sequence was divided into three moments, each time representing two 40-minute classes, and were respectively composed of an expository class, a playful game and a cellular application related to content of Modern Periodic Table. The data were collected from the application of questionnaires regarding each moment of the didactic sequence. It was possible to verify that the application of the didactic sequence as a support for the teaching/learning of Modern Periodic Table, facilitated the learning of the students, aroused the interest for the content, and promoted the use of mobile phones in a didactic way in the classroom.
