The practice of conditioning medicine at home is frequently resulting in genuine pharmacies. According to WHO the population should be careful with how to store and consume the drugs once these medicines may become inefficient or have severe consequences to the user's health if taken incorrectly. The aim of this work was to evaluate the stock and conditioning of medicines in households in the city of Cuite-PB. The questionnaires were composed of objective and subjective questions following a descriptive and exploratory study with a quantitative approach. Were visited 60 families which corresponded to 193 people with an average of 3.7 residents per household. The population sample analyzed had low income and low schooling. These factors that can lead the inappropriate use of drugs. It was also observed that all houses had at least one medication having been recorded at the end of the study a total of 219 units of medicines stored preferably in the kitchen probably because of the presence of water which facilitates the administration. Among the pharmacological classes most found in the households were found those with action in the Nervous and Cardiovascular System followed by the class of antiinfectives for systemic use (8.2%) wich were found in percentage consisting of relevant and careful prescription medication. It is known, however, that the improper storage or even the misuse of drugs can result in ineffective therapy and pose risks to individuals. In this way there is the need of the presence of pharmacists in healthcare background, this action is able to identify and prevent security concerns related to drugs and prevent its incorrect use by the population which will result in improving the quality of life.
