Abstract:
The reason that supports the struggle for inclusion as a new perspective for people with disabilities is undoubtedly the quality of teaching in public and private schools, so that they become able to meet the needs of each of its students, and according to their specificities, without falling into the webs of special education and the practical exclusion. Thus, the aim of this study was to analyze the quality of teaching and the preparation of the school and the professionals for the inclusion of children with special educational needs in the State School André Vidal de Negreiros Cuité - PB. As methodology, we conducted a literature search and field conditions using nine questionnaires addressed to teachers, was also observed classes and analysis of the physical structure of the school. We conclude that inclusive education is not a quick process, automatic, yes it is a challenge to be faced due to various reasons, in this case the lack of trained teachers and adequate physical infrastructure to receive students with disabilities. The integration of people with special educational needs in mainstream education is beneficial, both for the disabled, and for the student called normal when there are trained professionals and adequate physical infrastructure to include them in mainstream education.
