Resumen:
The emulsions are ideal vehicles for many cosmetic applications and pharmaceutical aplications, because they gather aesthetic qualities and functional, such as the solubilization of hydrofilic and lipophilic components. To quality assurance, are necessary care in the handling of pharmaceutical bases, mainly in relation to microbiological aspects and physico-chemical stability. They must also maintain the right consistency to achieve good feeling on the skin, spread and releasing active ingredients. The aim of this work was to formulate emulsion the ionic basis of wax Lanette ® and emulsions ionic not wax-based Polawax® for production in the Pharmacy School Manuel Married de Almeida the UFCG, in the municipality of Cuité-PB and evaluate its qualities physical-chemical and microbiological, comparing the results with literature journal. The physical and chemical analyzes were made from tests macroscopic, microscopic, pH, centrifugation, viscosity, electrical conductivity and the stability test preliminary. The counting of micro-organisms was made by means of the technique of Pour Plate or seeding in depth. The samples tested were within the standards physico-chemical quality established by official literature. However, in microbiological quality evaluation, presented outside the limits allowed by ANVISA, which is 300 CFU/ml and 100 CFU/ml for bacteria and fungi, respectively. The research highlighted the importance of the adoption of standards of quality control and prevention of contamination in the production to guarantee a quality product for the consumer.
