Abstract:
Storing objects that move in a database poses a series of challenges to be solved. As these objects change position continuously, and not discreetly, keeping information about their location updated in the database requires constant modification of the values contained therein. Updating this database constantly is inappropriate, as it generates an overload of work in the bank, as well as a possible excess of traffic and consumption of bandwidth. In this work, we propose a model for applications of mobile objects in a space-time database, which uses dynamic attributes to alleviate the problem of constant updates in the bank and enable the answer to queries involving past, present and future time. This model will be validated through an application that deposits and queries data in an Object-Relational DBMS.
