Resumen:
This work has the objective to study the performance of the
electrochemistry bipolar reactor which was used to separate the gases hydrogen and oxygen from electrolyze of water. A new reactor model was projected, constructed and tested and its design in terms of volume and choice of material were compared with others classic bipolar reactor. To analyze the performance of the system were studied the hydrogen and oxygen consumption to cut and solder of metals and their results were compared with acetylene gas and also from a mass balance was developed a study to estimate the cost of consumption of hydrogen and oxygen. From the modifications made in the system for its volume and production of hydrogen and oxygen gases, there are a great possibilities to use this technique in differents industrial applications.
