Resumen:
The present work has the objective to study the performance of a bipolar electrodialytic reactor, in order to obtain an alkaline solution from its respective salts. Two models of feed systems were studied. One with concentrated recycle and the other without recycle. To evaluate the systems, the following parameters were analysed; electric
conductivity of the product and concentrate, current density, ohmic resistance, current efficiency, practical energy consumption and required electrical power. According with the results from efficiency current during the process the electrical power of 50 volts to the
system without recycle and of 40 volts with recycle presented the best performance of the reactor.
