ICTs, acronym for Information and Communication Technologies, refers to a grouping of technological resources used to gather, distribute and share information in an adapted manner and with a common goal, enabling automation and/or communication of various types of procedures existing in business, teaching and scientific research, banking and many other areas. Nowadays, Education needs to follow technological transformations to innovate and reinvent itself in methodological issues continuously. In Physics teaching, in particular, there are multiple advantages that ICTs can provide to the didactic-pedagogical relation. This is because they can be powerful pedagogical instruments that are able to promote learning both from a quantitative point of view, if we take into account the dimen-sion of improving learning by using these resources, as well as from a qualitative point of view, understanding and interpreting new trends in the teaching-learning process. This research was developed at the Joel Pereira da Silva State High School located in Carrap-ateira/PB city, with the proposition of teaching Geometric Optics, commonly offered in classes of the 2nd grade of high school, using ICTs as teaching-learning process tools. This is an action research, so at first, a semi-structured questionnaire was applied to stu-dents in order to know if their Physics teachers did or use ICTs in classes, and in a second moment, there was exposure of classes based on the use of ICTs. Regarding the data, it was analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively in the light of relevant literature, through bib-liographic research. With the analysis of the questionnaires, it was possible to represent the students' opinions in a coherent and meaningful way regarding the investigation if the teachers did or use the ICTs, how much they learned during the classes and the ad-vantages of using ICTs in Geometric Optics Teaching.
