TDAH – entre a superficialidade dos “diagnósticos” e a complexa avaliação do transtorno.

Abstract

This research presentes information that may explain the increase in the number of childrem diagnosed wisth ADHD every year, as will as possible unnecessary medicalization causing the preveauslymentianed labeling of these childrem to a manexistent pathology. The main objective of this research will be to analyze the grawing complaints of the disorder and how the diagnoses are made, in order to warn about medicalization in childhood. First we use the integrative review in the databases available in the literature on the subject. One hunched and seven articles were analyzed and twentythee of these were selected on the proposed treme. We also conducted a quantitative and qualitative field research through semi-structured interviews with educators from a Municipal School and health profissionals from CAPS- Infantil (Centro Psychosocial Assistance) who worked with the research subejects in the city of Pombal (PB). The collected reports ewre analyzed through the content analysis of Bardin (1977), in which emerged the categories of analysis classified according to the theme of ADHD disorder. The results presented showed that there is still a significant lack of knowledge about ADHD in the área of education and health, their expressed opinions shou that methylphenedate consumption is one of the few solutions to contain the child with this disorder, as wll as showing contraversies. As for the analysis of the integrative review that paints out a social perspective of the disorder emplosizing various social aspects in which the childis inserted and that this influence may contribute to the development of ADHD symptoms.
