“Mulher do lar, mulher da rua”: tensões e conflitos nas representações do feminino nos folhetos de cordel de Leandro Gomes de Barros dos séculos XIX e XX.

Abstract

This assignment is a study about women and their representations trough the cordel literature from Leandro Gomes de Barros (1865 - 1918). Based on the dialogue with the cordel literature, the main source, we can decipher the woman's representations in the society from that time, XIX and XX Centuries. We still searched specific literature about woman, gender discussions, memory, cultural and popular history and representations, using books, dissertations among other sources which can give support to understand all feminine kinds that had circulated on the poet's literature and their connections with the society of the time.
