Abstract:
This work presents the development, construction and
experimental analysis of a DC voltage source regulates
low voltage for high currents, powered by
a variable AC voltage. The source was designed with characteristics suitable for hydrogen production, from the electrolysis of water using electrical energy obtained through
a wind turbine. A comparative study is also made of the various possibilities of realizing such a source, examining
the different regulation techniques that can be used,
and possible connections of semiconductors and windings
on the primary and secondary of the transformer. The regulation of the output voltage of the source is obtained by changing the taps in the primary of the rectifying transformer. For converting to direct current, a half-wave hexaphasic rectifier was used.
