Resumo:
The objective of this work is to diagnose and to characterize defect in roller bearings
through the acquisition of vibration signal using for analysis the techniques of the envelope
and spectrum, both applied in regions of frequencies of the spectrum more excited by the
defect. It was used as tools for acquisition of the vibration signal a computer PC, the software
Lab VIEW, a data acquisition board, an accelerometer and a signal conditioner. The
measurements were accomplished in a test rig in laboratory and its had as variable parameters
two shaft speeds, two load values and three degrees of defect severity introduced artificially.
The results showed that the techniques were efficient in the identification and characterization
of the defect, evidencing the characteristic frequencies, presenting compatible results to each
other.
