Résumé:
The runoff of the Piancó River basin, in the semi-arid region of northeastern Brazil, was assessed using the NAVMO model, Niederschiag-Abfluss Verdungstung Modell, (Precipitation-Flow and Evaporation Model). And a deterministic model of Rain - Flow, daily and distributed, based on the conception that the hydrographic basin is considered as a reservoir system and uses the concept of the Number Curve
of nSoil Conservation Service "(SCS), to assess the influence of soil cover through the water storage capacity in the reservoirs of the system. A series of 20 years corresponding to the period 1964-1983, from
precipitation, flow and evaporation of this basin for calibration of its parameters, the trial and error method was used and for simulation, the representative average of the parameters found in the calibration of each year was used. The results
showed a satisfactory fit to the observed data. There was a very good correspondence, both in the distribution and in the extreme values of the simulated flows. Thus, the NAVMO model can be considered promising for future uses in
basins with characteristics similar to the Piancó River basin.
