Resumo:
Along the years, the advances in Power Electronics have been allowing the evolution of drive systems, motivating the rational use of the electric power supplied to the induction motor in order to process the electromechanical conversion of this energy. In another hand, the electric motors should present adequate electrical and mechanical
characteristics to take advantage of new drive machine's techniques.
Taking into account these aspects, this works study a six-phase induction machine, which because of the number of phases increase the degrees of freedom for control, allowing development of high power system, well-conditioned motor torque and larger reliability of the drive system. Taking advantage of the versatility of the six-phase machine, PWM strategies that eliminate the common mode voltage and produce less electric interference in the net are proposed and analyzed. Also methods for estimate the electrical parameters as well a comparative study among the existent configurations of six-phase induction machines are realized.
