Abstract:
In this work was carried out a comparative study of Fe-W and Co-W alloys obtained by electrodeposition from electrolyt id solutions formulated with salts containing the respective metals and sodium citrate as complexing. The obtained micrographs showed the presence of defects in layers that may influence their corrosion resistance characteristics. No additives were used in the electrolyte solutions to improve the characteristics of the metals contained in the bath on the electrodeposition process and the characteristics of the alloys. It was found that in NaCl 0.1 molar Co-W alloy showed higher corrosion potential, polarization resistance and impedance. Therefore, the Co-W alloys represent promising anti-corrosion coatings.
