Resumen:
INTRODUCTION: The sexual and reproductive health of adolescents and young people involves sexual education, contraception / family planning, gynecological care, STD / AIDS prevention and treatment, and monitoring of pregnancy, childbirth and the puerperium. Thus, the challenges to guaranteeing adolescents' sexual and reproductive rights are still numerous. To overcome them it is necessary to expand investments in public policies for this population stratum. OBJECTIVE: To analyze the experience of FHS nurses regarding the monitoring of sexual and reproductive health performed with adolescents. METHODOLOGY: This is a study with qualitative approach and descriptive analytical character. The study was conducted in Cajazeiras-PB and ten Basic Health Units were chosen. The study data were collected from April to June 2019 through the use of a semi-structured interview, with a total of 11 nurses. Data were analyzed using the content analysis technique and processed by the IRAMUTEQ software. RESULTS: Participants' ages ranged from 24 to 49 years, with a greater prevalence being from 30 to 35 years (54.5%), the predominant gender was female (81.8%), the time since graduation ranged from 1 to 25 years, and the time worked in the researched FHS ranged from 4 months to 8 years. Through the dendogram and the similarity analysis generated by the software, it was found that the most evoked words were: no people and adolescent. Most of the nurses reported about the difficulties encountered in the search of adolescents by the Health Unit. FINAL CONSIDERATIONS: Based on the research, it was possible to consider that there is still a failure in the services as a whole, since almost all nurses do not follow up of sexual health with adolescents, either they do not or are not done as they should be, because there are several difficulties listed by them. It is known that these difficulties need to be analyzed, and further planning of interventions with management to address them, meeting the particular demands of each adolescent.
