Nematodes are one of the most numerous groups in nature. We find them in different environments, with representatives on terrestrial, aquatic and moist soil and can also be parasites of animals and plants. This work had as main characteristic nematofauna describe the composition of two urban beaches of the coast of Paraiba, in view of the huge shortage on its biodiversity, thereby increasing the knowledge of the occurrence and ecology of these animals which are of great importance for the maintenance of the web trophic marine. Biossedimentológicas Samples were collected with the help of a PVC pipe 20 cm long and 5 cm ² of internal area, always in médiolitoral, where he acquired a total of 36 samples in the two beaches. In the laboratory, permanent slides were prepared according to the methodology proposed by De Grisse (1988), to identify the nematofauna level where gender was represented by 56 distinct genres. The diversity was higher in the first cm (0-10 cm stratum) on the beach of Manaíra, unlike the Cape Blanco beach where the biotic characteristics were different; hence the diversity was higher in the lower stratum (10-20 cm). Metachromodora gender was more frequent and dominant on the beach at Cape Blanco, at the beach of Manaíra Latronema was the dominant genre. Regarding particle size, the beaches had higher concentration of fine sand on average. We conclude therefore that the composition of nematofauna the beaches of Cape Blanco and Manaíra are similar to other Brazilian beaches médiolitorâneas.
