A falta de acessibilidade nas áreas de uso comum do povo na zona urbana de Pombal-PB: um obstáculo à mobilidade dos pedestres.

Abstract

Inherent in society, the debates are responsible for major transformations, presenting to each new generation a new world of ideas and behaviors. From these discussions was given the perception that every human being deserves to be treated equally to any other human and that it is necessary that all the obstacles imposed by him be removed so that he can enjoy all the capacity that the human condition can give him provide. It is important to discuss urban accessibility because of the sensitivity that is pertinent to it and the transformation it can cause in the lives of people who move in a certain region. So, in order to answer the question "is there accessibility in the areas of common use of the people in the urban area of Pombal, Paraíba?", This paper sought to analyze what the norms pertinent to the subject and learned what understanding is being given to urban accessibility and to pedestrian mobility. For that, international, national and municipal standards were observed, as well as how various authors deal with themes such as dignity of the human being, areas of common use, pedestrian, mobility and accessibility. Towards the objective of this work the research was conducted in an exploratory way, to study how a varied part of the authors of the sciences and philosophy approach the theme, interpreting them and also interpreting the city as it presents itself, being a qualitative work. The monograph observed common use goods, public buildings and commercial establishments with the view of a user of these areas. One of the products of the research was the understanding that the municipal legislature does not act effectively on issues related to accessibility and that the areas of common use of the town of Pombal do not meet the basic needs of locomotion, including an obstacle to the people who travel there. Thus, the work pointed to non-compliance with the Principle of the Dignity of the Human Person, as well as the lack of full enjoyment of the attributions of citizenship by individuals.
