Abstract:
Thermospheric wind and temperature have been observed by two OI630 nm Fabry-
Perot Interpherometers installed at Sao Joao do Cariri (7.4 ° S, 36.5 ° W) and
Cajazeiras (6.9 ° S, 38.6 ° W), Paraiba. In the present work, we have also used
Digisonda data from Euzebio (3.9 ° S, 38.4 0 W), Ceara and CADI (Canadian
Advanced Digital lonosonde) inform Sao Joao Cariri. The database (wind, intensity,
temperature, and bottomside height of the F layer were obtained during 2011, whose
the solar activity was moderate and solar flux were between 90 and ~ 155
10~22W I m21 Hz In the evening, the meridional wind presented a magnitude of ~ 70
m/s in both solstices, but the flow direction was different. The wind was poleward
during the winter and equatorward during the summer, this behavior is the key to the
MTM (Midnight Temperature Maximum). The relation among the bottomside of the F
layer, the zonal wind and the MTM, will be discussed in this work as well.
