Resumen:
The political and fiscal decentralization that Brazil has faced in recent years has resulted in the creation of a number of municipalities, and adding to this many difficulties. Meeting the demand for an entire population in terms of health is one of the biggest challenges posed to municipal management. Public health consortia are presented, in view of this reality, as an important mechanism that can be used and that enables public action in terms of resources, money and system optimization. With this, through a bibliographic research and within this one of a survey of data from already published materials already published in the period from 2015 to 2018, the present work, has as objective, to analyze the municipal indexes of the public Consortia in Health of the State of Paraíba - PB, for such. Some variables were considered as a parameter of analysis, such as the number of municipalities associated by mesoregions and microregions, which participate in associations, which are covered by social control, as well as their main sources of income, population and per capita GDP. It was concluded that the State of Paraíba, despite having several municipalities in health consortium, there are some situations that need special attention, and be improved.
