Resumen:
In This work the effect of thickness and crack orientation ("TL" and "SL")
on fatigue behaviour of steels class API 5L-X70 and ASTM A516-GR65 was
investigated.
The tests were conducted at ambient temperature and compact tension tests
specimens was used. Fatigue crack propagation was attended with a travell
microscope.
When the crack propagate in the longitudinal direction in a parallel plane
to lamination plane of the plate ("SL"), the test specimen thickness tend to effect
the fatigue crack propagation.
Fatigue behaviour of the steels was confronted and the differences
discussed.
