Resumo:
The influence of the features of the electrode covering and the parameters of welding
on the amount of welding fumes in the Shielded Metal Arc Weldding Process. Was
evaluated. For in such a way, a system for fumes collection was elaborated in according to
International Norm ANSI/AWSF1.2-92. To evaluate the effect of the parameters of welding
with currents varying from a 85 to 145 A , and tension varying between 20V and 31V, had
been executed, remaining constant the welding speed. Celulosic (AWS E 6010), Rutilic
(AWS E 6013) and basic (AWS E 7018) Electrode type. Gotten from a three different
manufacturers had been used. It was verified that the values of the welding fumes amounts
varied by variyng the arc power, the electrode covering, the manufacturer, and the polarity
used.
