In this study was aimed to environmental impacts assessment in the phase of operation of a sugarcane agroindustry located in the municipality of Mamanguape - PB. For this purpose, a survey was carried out of the dynamics of the operation of the various stages of sugar, ethanol and energy cogeneration, focusing on the identification of environmental aspects and impacts. The methodology adopted was based in bibliographic research, on-site visits, photographic records and application of environmental impact assessment methods: Ad Hoc, Check List and Interaction Matrix. According to results, 37% of the environmental impacts were classified as "Not Significant", 48% "Significant" and 15% "Very Significant". A total of 29 environmental control measures were proposed for the "Significant" and "Very Significant" environmental impacts, and 07 environmental programs were indicated. It was verified that the studied agroindustry, following the national trend of the sector, is always invested in innovations and it is expected that this study contributes to a possible implantation of an Environmental Management System in the enterprise.
