Resumo:
The environment has been demonstrating, for some time, reactions to the changes and aggressions it has been receiving with the evolution of humanity. In our daily life, Environmental Education has been gaining more space, being the main responsible for the projects and initiatives taken to ensure the conservation and preservation of the environment. The objective of this study was to demonstrate the application of cartography of Sauvé environmental education chains to high school teachers of a public school in the city of Uiraúna – PB. The research realized from August 2018 until September 2018. The study used as theoretical, methodological and research presuppositions the bibliographical research and the field study, through a qualitative and descriptive approach, characterized by the development and clarification of ideas. As an instrument for data collection, a questionnaire composed of 16 questions applied with 25 high school teachers from EEEFM Doutor José Duarte Filho in the city of Uiraúna – PB. The data obtained analyzed according to the cartography of the currents of Environmental Education of Sauvé. The results attested how the Environmental Education scenario is heterogeneous, indicating different visions and, therefore, different pedagogical methods in relation to the environment. The teaching methodology practiced by the teachers in the disciplines that work with Environmental Education varies according to the conceptions of the environment that each one has, demonstrating that the teacher does not follow a single current of Environmental Education, being the adoption of these currents now complementary, sometimes divergent. Therefore, emanating from public conservation policies it noticed that the development of activities concerning Environmental Education has been happening in an interdisciplinary way in the target school, contributing to the development of the human being in the intellectual, cognitive aspect, making them critical citizens capable of living in society. Thus, it is emphasized that such actions developed, through the theoretical foundations presented, are established conceptual, attitudinal and behavioral actions, which aim at the promotion and transformation of the subject to environmental issues.
