Résumé:
The present study aims to analyze the process of Sexual Education in the School, in the opportunity we opted for a state school in the city of Sousa in Paraíba. The general objective of this study is to reflect on the insertion of sex education in schools. Also, we have developed some specific objectives such as identifying the perception of education workers about the theme, identifying actions in the school context that provide sexual education, verifying that the professionals are trained to approach the theme and observe the acceptance of parents and students on the subject. The research is qualitative and presents through bibliographical contents, documentaries and semi-structured questionnaire. We approach education in Brazil from the colonial period to the education plans. Sexual Education pointing out its importance in combating violence and the taboos that permeate this theme. Including the challenge of sexual education in state schools. Talking about sex education is not easy since the taboos generate the distance and covers more and more the subject. However, sexual education has its importance in preventing and combating situations that are posed as social problems, it can act in the breaking of prejudice, sexual violence and violence against women, respect for diversity, the formation of critical awareness etc. The problem that hinders the development of sex education in schools is in the growing wave of conservatism, and especially that of the present condition, increasing even more the existing taboos for this subject. The misconception that teenagers know everything because access to the internet needs to be demystified, as they do not learn about sexuality on the internet. In this sense, it is important to foster this theme so that different professionals compose their knowledge in the search of planning and providing actions so that sex education is a means to solve the social problems related to this theme and to enable the development of being.
