Abstract:
Aiming to check the effect of solarization and incorporation of organic plant matter on
substrate plant for the production of papaya seedlings , apart from the occurrence of
damping off an experiment was installed in the área of laboratories, the CCTA-UATAUFCG.
Pombal-PB. The substrato was composed of a land área cultivated with
passionfruit. whose plants had symptoms consistent with diseases caused by fungus
in soir. In this soir. manure was added in proportion 3:1 and incorporated or otherwise
of organic plant material (castor oil. cassava and neem-trem)l solarized or not, for a
period of 15 to 30 days. The experimental design was applied with a completely
randomized factorial 4x2x2 and 5 replicates totaling 16 combinations and 80
experimental units. It was evaluated the growth parameters such as: plant height,
stem diameter. number of leaves and total dry weight. The analysis of variance
revealed significant numbers for the parameters of leaves and stem diameter. The
average test showed no difference for treatments not solarized, but among those
who received the solarized organic matter plant, were higher than those not given
Among the treatments that have not received vegetable organic matter. not the
number of solarized had leaves and stem diameter greater than solarized. The time
of treatment for a period of 30 days. provided the plants with larger diameters. During
the conduct of the work lust only a change solarized showed symptom of damping
off.
