Resumo:
Environmental education is a very recurring theme that has been gaining ground in various
areas of society. Social and environmental issues such as: global warming, preservation of
soils, vegetation, rivers, water tables and so many other issues that threaten the well-being of
future generations is something that needs to be constantly considered and rediscussed in all
political and social spheres, In addition, these concerns need to be carefully considered above
all by our universities in order to address possible solutions and new, less degrading social
and environmental coexistences, both in the medium and long term. Geography is
epistemologically grounded on geographical space and its discussions permeate these social
and environmental interactions that occur gradually in time and space. Knowing this, the
construction of this work seeks to highlight whether undergraduate undergraduate students in
geography, who focus on this science. if they are sensitized, to the point of changing their
habits and possibly being able to reproduce all this pertinence, not only in the academic
sphere, but in social and especially professional life, that is, the general objective is to verify
this relationship of knowledge acquired during The undergraduate degree in geography with a
possible reflection of changes in social and environmental habits, for this, in addition to the
bibliographic consultation of related readings on this theme, was worked with undergraduate
students who are in the process of completing the course, in order to verify the influence of
this science towards these students. From the adopted methodology, it was possible to
ascertain gradually the critical and reflexive construction of these undergraduates in face of all
these intensifying environmental degradations.
