Resumen:
Creativity is part of the process of integral development of the child and is one of the
aspects worked in kindergartens and preschools of all countries, aiming at the child
being a creative subject, capable of solving problems and expressing themselves in
society. Thus, we seek to understand how creativity is placed in the activity plan of the
process of integral development of children in early childhood education. For this, this
work has as general objective to analyze how the teachers of the public preschools of
the city of Cajazeiras - PB conceive the creativity in the kindergarten; and specific, to
identify through planning how teachers work creativity and to verify the frequency and
intensity at which teachers work creativity with children. For the theoretical foundation
we use Ostrower (2001), Fleith and Alencar (2005), Nunes, Corsino and Didonet
(2011), Vygotsky (2012). It is a field research with a quantitative and qualitative
approach. As a data collection instrument, we used a sociodemographic questionnaire
and a semi-structured interview applied to 32 teachers. After data analysis it was found
that creativity is present in day care centers and preschools in the city of Cajazeiras-PB
and that teachers understand how to: “create and invent new things” (12 teachers);
innovate (06); imagination (05); it is renewing, changing strategies or motivation (03);
is to insert the playful in the classroom (02); Three teachers allow us to infer that the
improvisation technique is present in their teaching practices. It is concluded that the
discussion proposed by this research opens the way for future, more in-depth studies
related to creativity in state day care centers and preschools .
