Resumo:
The objective of this work was to investigate the challenges faced by teachers working in
chemistry teaching at the EJA in São José de Piranhas- PB. To this end, we assume that the
Education of Young people and adults is based on the importance of considering the distinct
profile of their students. In teaching practice, EJA modality is common to question
students about why chemistry is studied. Therefore, increasingly, the need to
contextualize learning in Chemistry has been growing, because it is sought that
students attribute meaning and meaning to school contents, so it is necessary that
the educator in the EJA modality seek new strategies and ways to rethink meaningful
learning for your target audience. Thus, we opted for a field research of descriptive
character, which consisted of the application of questionnaires. After data analysis,
we can find that there is a concern on the part of teachers regarding the contents and
how they are worked in chemistry classes.
