Abstract:
The experiment had as objective to evaluate different ancestries
of melons, compared with the commercial genotype Eldorado 300, how much to
the productive and qualitative aspects, in the Paulista, PB. The work was
carried from September to December of 2008, in Riacho das Onças famer,
localized the left edge of the River Piranhas about 8 km of the headquarters.
The design was randomized block, with four repetitions, was evaluated six
genotypes (ancestries) of yellow melons (CNPH 131, CNPH 132, CNPH 133,
CNPH 134, CNPH 135, CNPH 136) and a commercial genotype (Eldorado
300). The experiment was carried through in an área of 256 m:, with 280 plants.
The experimental parcel had 2 m of width x 4 length m, totalizing 8 m:, contend
10 plants, of which four had been used, it was evaluated: Number of fruits por
plant(NEP), Average weight of Fruit (AWF), Total Production (TP), Commercial
Production (CP), Not Commercial Production (NCP), Fruit shape Index (DL/DT),
Mesocarp Thickness (MT), Longitudinal Diameter (LD), Transversal Diameter
(TD), Soluble Solids Contend (SSC) and Tritritable Acidity (TTA). How much to
the productive aspects and the format all the genotypes had been similar the
Eldorado 300. Although to differ between it self in the soluble solid contend and
tritritable acidity in the test genotypes had been similar to Eldorado 300,
revealing with characteristic quantitative and qualitative satisfactory to be
explored in the Paulista - PB.
