Resumen:
The horticulture is an activity almost always present in small family farms. The
analysis production system of irrigation schemes aimed to determine the practices
and species used. 40 producers were interviewed. The questionnaire for data
collection contained questions about their socio-economic aspects and on their
production systems. It was found that most are just literate (32.5%). Families with <2
people(15%), 2-5 people(72.5%) anda 5 people(12.5%). Only 20% have face from
agriculture and the rest adds to the retirement social benefits and others. Of the
agriculturas activities, 7,5% tive of horticulture exploitationl 10% of horticulture + caule
raising; 50% horticulture + other cultures and 25% of horticulture + caule raising +
other cultures. manpower used is 100% family and about 77.5% have no thecnical
assistance. For the exploitation cultures (lettuce. cilantro, onions, peppers, tomatoes.
cabbage, cabbage, okra, pumpkin, zucchini, eggplant and pepper) soir preparation is
100% manual. The agriculture producers make the do not analysis of soil and buy
seeds in the local market (51 .5%) or some still use the last cultivation (30%) and the
seedlings formed are of low quality. It conclude that most producers have no
technical assistance and production methods made by empirical means, demanding
a more effective organ for teaching, research and extensíon in the region.
