Resumen:
This work had as general objective to evaluate the thermal behavior of the ceiling
of the Copolymer compound (Ethylene-Vinyl Acetate) - EVA + Copolymer (Styrene)
Butadiene) - SBR, in buildings of social interest. The research was
carried out in a reduced model of a housing block, which contains four
housing units (two storeys and two on the upper floor). Such a model was
produced in a geometrically similar class, on a scale of 1: 5, structured in sheets
plywood, covered with asbestos cement tile. The collection of
data was made in the four units, one on the upper floor, one with the ceiling
(CF) and one without a ceiling (SF). Data were recorded both in the cold and
in the hot, 45 days with the model in the North-South direction and 45 days with the model
in the East-West direction, at intervals of every twenty minutes, with the sensors
inside and on the cover of the model. The T-type thermocouple wire
data referring to the following variables: temperature of the upper surface of the tile
(SST), lower tile surface temperature (SIT), surface temperature
upper lining (SSF), lower lining surface temperature (SIF), dry bulb
(room temperature), wet bulb and black globe. Based on the data collected,
the behavior of the environment was determined inside the reduced models CF and
SF, with the help of the following indices: temperature and humidity index (ITU) and
wet bulb index and globe temperature (IBUTG). Under the conditions in which this
work was carried out, and with the results obtained, it is concluded that the presence of the
of the compound in question provides thermal comfort in residential buildings of
social interest, reducing the temperature of the environment in the most critical periods of
heat and keeping the environment warm for longer, in the coldest periods.
