Resumo:
In the face of anthropic action, the caatinga has been increasingly devastated, such action actually generates systematic transformation in the dynamics of these forest fragments. Thus, the present work aimed to carry out a phytosociological survey of the adult shrub-tree component and natural regeneration in a Caatinga remnant, a work developed at Roncador farm, municipality of Pombal-PB. The remainder has an area of 3.32 ha, located at the coordinates (06o 48 ’35.1” South latitude 37o 47 ’40.7” West longitude). For the sampling of the adult shrub-tree component, 20 m x 20 m plots were implanted systematically at a distance of 20 meters each. For sampling of the adult component, all living individuals with breast height circumference (CAP) ≥ 6 cm were inventoried. For sampling of natural regeneration, sub-plots of 2 m X 20 m were implanted in plots of 20 m X 20 m existing in the study site, and all individuals with height (H) ≥ 1 m were sampled, and later classified by height class. . 902 shrub-tree individuals were sampled in the adult component, in which they are divided into 14 species, distributed in 9 botanical families, whereas the diversity index (H ') calculated was 1.88 nats / ind. For natural regeneration, 111 individuals were sampled, divided into 12 species distributed in seven botanical families, with a diversity index of 1.84 nats / ind. The fragment studied is a degraded capoeira area, and to minimize all impacts on its interior and to ensure the biodiversity existing in the place, it is necessary to adopt conservationist measures.
