Abstract:
This work aimed to study the toxic effect of crushing the flowers of lpomoea asarifolia
on Africanized bees. The assays were conducted in the laboratory of Agricultural
Entomology, Federal University of Campina Grande, UFCG, Campus Pombas. To
conduct the bioassay concentrations of ground were weighed unto three distinct
fractions (0.25%, 050%. 1.0%) and added into a diet named as "Candi". The bees
were divided unto 12 boxes of wood, set of 20 insecto per box, for a total of 240
workers per plant tested, these distributed in three replicates and control, and
conditioned at an environmental chamber with temperature set at 32 ' C and humidity
70%. And after 24 hours made the count of workers killed and placed on the PRISMA
3.0 program that made the statistics and the graphs. The three replicates (025%,
050% and 1.0%) showed a statistical average mortality of 14, ll and 10 days, the
workers in the control group remained avive up to 18 days.
