This study was developed at Padre Manuel Pereira Municipal School, in the city of Umari-CE, from June to October 2019, describes the use of RPG Maker MV Software in 7-year geography classes. The objective of the action was the elaboration and development of thematic maps for electronic games in virtual environment, using textbook content. The methodology used was the development of 6 pedagogical workshops with previously selected students, for, elaboration of a project of school cartography and served to present active methodologies in the process of construction of the knowledge of the students, and its significance in the study of cartographic knowledge. At the end of the project, a set of 5 maps were created by the students in a virtual environment, using contents focused on the theme of the northeastern backcountry and its geographical characteristics. What was striking was that the students also ended up representing their economic and social realities.
