Resumo:
This study addresses the use of audiovisual resources by geography teachers in the teaching modality of Youth and Adult Education, as a pedagogical practice in the classroom, focused on both teaching and learning. The general objective was to analyze the view of geography
teachers of the city of Cajazeiras who teach in Youth and Adult Education regarding the use of audiovisual resources as a didactic-pedagogical tool in favor of the teaching and learning
process of students. The specific objectives proposed: a) to understand the potential of audiovisual resources in the geography classes of Youth and Adult Education as a fundamental mechanism in the teaching and learning process; b) describe how audiovisual
resources can be used in the teaching and learning process of Geography in Youth and Adult
Education; and c) identify how geography teachers who teach in Youth and Adult Education
have used audiovisual resources in their classes. , as well as their conceptions about the benefits they provide for dynamic and more effective learning. The methodology used was a literature review based on a descriptive and exploratory bibliographic research with a
quantitative and qualitative approach. Although the teacher is aware of the importance of
using these resources in the classroom, he still faces the challenges of associating the pedagogical content with the instruments, which reinforces the idea that a permanent search for teacher qualification is necessary to develop skills and techniques needed for learning that is truly meaningful with the use of digital technologies in the classroom.
