Resumen:
Heliotropium indicum L. (Boraginaceae) is a subshrub that reaches up to 70 cm
high, is widely distributed geographically. This species is known as sicklepod in the
north and northeast. Given the biological potential of this species This study aims to
identify a possible toxic effect of the honeybee Após melliferas Africanized under
controlled conditions. For this. the flowers of the plant after being oven dried was
weighed into three different fractions, namely (0.25%, 0.50% and 1 .0%) and added to
the "candy" and water. For statistical analysis, we used the non-parametric test Log
Rank test, comparing the survival curves. We measured the average mortality was
assessed and the presence of the toxic effect of macerated Flowers sicklepod
through time average mortality ranged from 1 1 to 15 days. The results showed that
these flowers macerated in 1 .00% concentration provides early death of worker bees.
