Résumé:
In the last years. many mixtures or combinations of plants in intercropping have been
demonstrating viability agroeconomic for the production increase and maximum use
of the production factors, mainly when it happens mutual cooperation. however in
multiple cropping they are rare the works accomplished to levei of Brazil and the
results of researches accomplished to the moment are not satisfactory to remove
generic information, mainly for the continental dímensions and climates differentiated
among the áreas of the country. With objective of evaluating the productivity and the
profitability of the cultures of pepper, lettuce, coriander and green onion in associated
cultivation the work was accomplished in CCTA/UFCG, Campus Pombas, in the
period of September of 201 1 to July of 2012. In the experiment they were appraised
11, treatments. corresponding to seven associated cultivations and four
monocultures', installed under experimental design of randomized blocks. with three
repetítions. Were used the cultivate Magali R. Verá. Verdão and Todoano,
respectívely, for pepper, lettuce, coríander and green onion. The green onion
seedlings were prepared for the separation and rooting of basal offshoots, the
seedlings of pepper and lettuce for the sowing in expanded polystyrene trays and the
coriander sowed directly in the stonemason. In the intercropping, the spacing among
lhes of the cultures was in agreement wíth the employed system, in the single
cultivation the spacing among lhes went of 1.00 m to the pepper, 0.30 m for the
lettuce and 0.25 m for the coriander and green onion, among plants went of 0.60 m
to the pepper, 0.30 m for lettuce, 0. 05 m for coriander and 0.15 m for the green
onion, in both systems. They were analyzed the commercial production of fruits of
pepper obtained in three crops and the productivityl for the culture of the lettuce they
were appraised the traverse diameter, the fresh and dry mass of the aerial part. For
the coriander, they were appraised the height. fresh and dry mass of the aerial pari.
In the green onion they were appraised number of leaves, fresh mass and mass
dries of the part of the aerial of three crops. The calculation of the index of efficient
use of the earth was accomplished of the tested combínations. The results
demonstrated that there was not interference of the intercalary crops about the
production of the pepper (main culture) in all of the associated systems. For
intercropping coriander, lettuce and green onion hives his best results in productivity
occurred only when they were intercropped with sweet pepper, was also recorded
satisfactory outcome for plant height and number of the coriander and green onion
certain associations.
